Microsoft settles with Novell

One-time owner of WordPerfect, Novell, agreed to accept a $500 million settlement from Microsoft in exchange for withdrawing from a longstanding anti-trust lawsuit. In a litigation twist, however, Novell is filing another lawsuit against Microsoft.
