Turn off metadata
There always seems to be talk about metadata in word processing files and the security or privacy risks posed by same.
When someone sends a word processing file to another party, or publishes the file on the web, that file's metadata stays with it for the new owner to see. Notice that I said "file" and not "document." One could actually delete all the words from a document and replace them with new words. Then, the metadata of the old document becomes the metadata of the new document.
Unless your organization has specific guidelines for saving metadata, it's probably best to not have any metadata, or to keep the metadata to a minimum.
In WordPerfect, to prevent metadata from being created or saved upon saving or exiting a document:
Navigate to Settings.

Click on Document Summary Settings.

Deselect the check boxes and click OK.
This will, at least, keep certain metadata items out of your document by default.
I'll discuss metadata and its uses more, in the future.
