Metadata removal checklist

As previously mentioned, it is sometimes a good idea to remove metadata before electronically distributing a WordPerfect document. Creating a checklist can insure which metadata items get stripped from the document before it goes out. Such a checklist should include:

  1. Comments and hidden text
  2. Document revision annotations
  3. Styles
  4. Undo/redo history
  5. Your username, initials, and company or organization name
  6. Document summary information
  7. Header and footer information
  8. Hyperlinks
  9. Non-visible portions of object linking and embedding (OLE) objects

That list came from Corel's handy instructions on steps to take for removing each metadata item from a document:
