Spreading the hype

From the Department of Hype Coming Down the Pike.

As expected, there was a flurry of news activity about WordPerfect X3 on Tuesday. I spent part of the day reading news reports on the web. Most of it was rehashing the press kit put out by Corel. There was the occasional Q & A between reporters and Corel people.

I found this quote particularly interesting:

"We're playing in a Microsoft world, we have to work with Microsoft," Corel's Jason Larock said. Corel, he said, is adding 20,000 new WordPerfect Office users a day and that Corel currently has 96 percent of the Office-alternative market, according to the Larock.

Feeling the love, and keeping up the hype while settling into the business of actually using the software. Well, I don't actually have WPX3 yet. But, I hope to have it soon.
