Thinking of switching to Open Office?
I just discovered an article from August 2005, where The Information Dirt Road discusses whether or not Open Office 2.0 might be a good fit for law offices: Open Office 2.0 - Ready for Prime Time?.
The bottom line: Not being able to produce a table of authorities, together with some major and minor quirks, make the current version of Open Office fall short of what's needed in a word processor for a modern law office. Standing by for future versions.
