Billing software for the solo practitioner
It was more than ten years ago when I was last on the decision making end of what billing software to buy. I worked for a solo practitioner who gave me a long leash in many matters, including how to operate the office.
Then, the choice was Timeslips. And, as I recall, the price was in the $150 to $200 range.
My new boss indicated she would like to use billing software. She has just started out on her own after many years of working for others. So, I offered to check out Timeslips on her behalf.
I just went to the Timeslips website, and was a little dismayed to find single station license costs $449.99. I don't think she wants to spend that much at this point. I'd love to know what other solo practitioners and small offices are using.
In the meantime, we'll be typing our client bills on WordPerfect, using the standard three column method: Date, description, time.
