Default document style
I thought it was about time I resumed posting some WordPerfect tips, lest this become the Unofficial Everything Else blog.
Near the top of my list of things to do when installing WordPerfect is to set the default document style. This should be a good base template that can be used for most documents. Of course, any elements can be changed on a document by document basis.
In the main menu bar, navigate to Format. Click Styles... at or near the bottom of the list.
In the lefthand list of choices, select DocumentStyle. Or, create DocumentStyle if it isn't already there. Click Edit...
This brings up the Styles Editor where you can set up most, if not all, format items for your future documents.
Make your choices, including font and font size, justification. You can see your choices as they are added to your document template in the little Contents window near the bottom of the editor (like reveal codes).
At the very bottom, check Reveal Codes on the left and Use as default on the right.
Click OK.
Start a new document and your default style is there and ready to go.
