Exploring the Yahoo! search bar in WPX3
One of the new features introduced with WordPerfect Office X3 is the Yahoo! search bar. This allows the user to launch a search directly from within WordPerfect.
- The first button, labeled "WordPerfect" takes you to the Online Resources page for WordPerfect at the Corel web site.
- The Y! button takes you directly to the Yahoo! home page.
- The search box is the heart of the operation. Here you can type your search terms and click the "Search Web" button. Alternatively, I usually just hit the enter key.
- The next button takes you to "My Yahoo!"
- The next button launches Yahoo! Messenger.
- The next button which looks like an open book, takes you to the Yahoo! reference page. Here, dictionary, encyclopedia, and thesaurus searches can be performed.
- The next button, a camera, takes you to your Yahoo! photos page.
- The next button takes you to your Yahoo! briefcase page.
- The next button takes you to Yahoo! News.
- Finally, the last button launches WordPerfect Mail.
