Accessing Symbols in WordPerfect

special_characters.jpg WordPerfect contains a vast array of characters or symbols that aren't found on the standard keyboard.

To access this feature, on the main menu bar go to Insert > Symbol. Or, just hit CTRL W.

This brings up the Symbol dialog box. There is a drop down box of various Sets of Symbols in the upper left corner.

The choices in WPX3 are ASCII, Multinational, Phonetic, Box Drawing, Typographic Symbols, Iconic Symbols, Math/Scientific, Math/Scientific Ext (extended), Greek, Hebrew, Japanese, Arabic, and Arabic Script.

The symbol I use more than any other is the divided by sign found under Math/Scientific.
