Undocumented MS Word exploit
UPDATED
The PC Doctor is all over this unfortunate situation.
Basically, an e-mail attachment that looks like a Word document is really a trojan. It gets executed when the attachment is opened by installing a rootkit which gives hackers access to a computer system. For more information, following the links in these articles from PC Doctor:

Microsoft will release a fix for this in their June 13, 2006, security patch.
